Speaking

Keynotes, Panels & Workshops

Every talk draws from active, hands-on experience building technology and organizations — not frameworks borrowed from business books. Available for keynotes, panels, workshops, and fireside conversations.

01

"From Paper to Platform"

The Blue Envelope program created critical awareness around disability safety during law enforcement encounters. This talk examines how that grassroots foundation inspired a national digital platform — the architecture, the integration challenges, and the collaboration between advocacy and technology that took the concept from a paper program to a CAD-integrated system across 31 states and 600+ agencies.

Ideal for: Public safety conferences, disability advocacy organizations, government technology summits

02

"Building for the Badge"

Why most GovTech companies die before their product reaches a single end user — and the strategies that got a platform adopted by 600+ law enforcement agencies across 31 states. Covers the full lifecycle: the 18-month procurement cycles that test your runway, the meeting before the meeting that actually determines adoption, the stakeholder politics that kill more companies than bad products ever will, and the trust-building that no amount of engineering can shortcut. A talk about what it really takes to build, sell, and deploy technology in government and public safety.

Ideal for: Technology conferences, public safety industry events, GovTech conferences, product leadership summits

03

"5 Squared"

Five engineers became 25 across distributed locations — and the team became a freight train. Shipping faster than stakeholders could define requirements. Proactive, disciplined, and compounding capability every sprint. This talk is the blueprint: the hiring decisions that compound talent instead of diluting it, the cultural architecture that turns a group of individuals into a force multiplier, and the operational frameworks that keep a scaling team accelerating instead of fragmenting. Building a high-performing engineering organization is one of the hardest problems in leadership. Sustaining one requires alignment that extends well beyond the engineering org. The math is simple. Everything else is not.

Ideal for: Engineering leadership conferences, CTO summits, startup and scale-up events

04

"Negative 30"

$30K in debt after the 2008 crash wiped out my first company — funded by a home equity loan against my parents' house. What followed: 16-18 hour days working full-time at a consulting firm, driving straight to my tattoo shop for evening appointments, hitting the gym at 9pm, then remodeling a fixer-upper until 1am. I paid off the debt in a year, bought my first house at 29 with $3K down, and flipped 3 houses while building businesses simultaneously. This is a talk about what happens when your back is against the wall — and why the grind that nobody sees is what makes everything after it possible.

Ideal for: Entrepreneurship events, business leadership conferences, university programs, motivational and keynote stages

05

"The Cloud Didn't Come With a Manual"

My honest journey through the AWS ecosystem over 10+ years — from spinning up my first EC2 instance to running a national platform serving 600+ organizations across 31 states. This talk covers the evolution: the services I started with, the ones I wasted money on, the architecture I'd build from day one if I could do it again, and the practical decisions that actually matter when you're a small team building something real. Designed for builders, founders, and students who use AWS (or want to) but aren't sure if they're doing it right. No certifications required. No jargon. Just what works.

Ideal for: Small business and startup events, university programs, cloud and developer conferences, general technology audiences

06

"Memento"

AI had a memory problem — it couldn't remember context across sessions. So I built a system to fix it. That's the kind of builder I am: when the tool doesn't work, I make it work. This talk is the real story of how I integrated AI into the way I build, think, and ship — from engineering custom memory systems to automating workflows that used to take entire teams. It's about why small teams leveraging AI are outpacing large teams that aren't, and why the builders who don't adapt now won't be in the conversation five years from now. You'll leave wanting to go home and start building.

Ideal for: AI/ML conferences, developer events, entrepreneurship events, general technology audiences
